Aperture was designed by Apple to be a competitive software to Adobe’s Photoshop, that is part of the CS-4 grouping of Applications.
Adobe’s Photoshop has been the Industry Standard for Photo Editing by which all others are judged.
Naturally Photoshop is the best there is but is very expensive software and is used primarly by Professionals.
There are alternitves to it, Photoshop Elements, is one such, and you can get it for under $100.
Bare in mind that Adobe software was designed primarly for Apple Computers because they have always been used for design and editing for Film and Photo work.
Yes you can find one of many that are out there, but I suggest you go to your local Computer Store and Purchase a copy of one of the Adobe Programs as suggested above.
Good Luck and steer clear of FREE anything it will be a big problem for you. make sure the version you get is MAC and not PC.
